Downloaded Files Are Incomplete...
When downloading files from purchased audiobooks, I have found that frequently you don't get the whole file on the first download. Some of the files have to be downloaded more than once in order to get the whole thing. Part of the problem is there is not a file size next to titles in the download list. So if you download a file you do not know what the size should be, therefore you do not know if you actually got the whole file until you listen.
However, putting the file size next to the link won't solve the the issue with not getting the whole file on the first download. That would be a software issue. I have only seen this happen a couple of times, so maybe having the file size present would be the quickest and best solution.
Thanks,
Tim

Inappropriate?I am sorry you are having problems. The only time I have heard of this type of problem is when the customer is either using a download manager, they are not using a broadband connection, or they are using a browser other than what we recommend (Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari).
I cannot attempt to duplicate these errors unless I know the following:
What title you are attempting to download? and which format?
What browser you are using? (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari)
What type of Internet Connection you have? ( Broadband, Dial up, Satellite) -
Inappropriate?I've had this problem occur a few times. As far as I can remember, it's happened when using Firefox or IE, and always on a DSL connection that should be plenty fast.
The most recent issue was with a title I downloaded a year ago, "Not for Sale," but just listened to yesterday and was super disappointed it wasn't complete. -
Inappropriate? When you are downloading your files are you downloading each of the files separately?
-
Inappropriate?Yes.
-
Inappropriate?Have you tried to re-download the files?
-
Inappropriate?re-downloading typically fixes it, yes; just commenting that I HAVE experienced this as well.

Inappropriate? If the file sizes were listed next to the download links it would at least let you know which files are incomplete when you compare the size of the downloaded file to what is listed. Then you don't have to wonder whether or not you got the whole thing and you would know for sure which files are complete and which ones are incomplete. This, I think, would be a satisfactory resolution.

Inappropriate?Tim, We will be adding the file size to the each download. This will be implemented with the new website which is soon to launch.
